                FOREVER TO BE SAVED

A  Covenant! The Promised One,

Messiah Jesus was His Name!

The Law of Old had passed away.

 A "better covenant" was made!

A weak and useless way to God

Could not deliver, never save;

But Jesus gave his life to be

The Spotless Lamb for us to see

A "better covenant" of peace

To God our Father "once for all."

So NEVER shall we need to see

The fires of hell for sinful deeds,

For just a drop of Saving Blood

Unites us to the Father's Love;

Forever in His Home.

Oh, what's the price that we must pay?

For when a covenant is made,

A price of death is to be paid.

But suicide is not the way,

So what's the cost to enter here

And walk the streets of gold?

The Garden!  In the Garden there,

The Son got on His knees and showed

The cost of what we need to know,

And how that we can enter in

The Covenant of Life with Him.

I see Him on his knees in pain

And agony inside His soul

And pleading for the plan to change,

That He not die in shame alone;

But said instead, Thy will be done

And gave His will to Him above

To die for me and you to save

A people who would crucify

A perfect Man who loved them so,

To be the Father's Lamb.

And so He shed His Blood and said,

"Remember Me" in wine and bread,

And crucify your flesh with Mine

And crucify your will and die,

And give up all your thoughts and plans,

And yield to God above.

And those who choose to give their will

And die to passions for this life,

And crucify the flesh with Christ,

And pay the painful, proper price,

Have entered into Life with Him,

Forever to be Saved.

And nothing separates a man

From such a New and Perfect Plan,

  A "guarantee" our Father gave

To every man who seeks to save

His life from Satan's chains of death

And enter Heaven's Home.

I celebrate this Covenant!

I gladly give my will to God!

I gladly promise to obey

In light of such a price He paid!

This price, (for decades I have paid)

To Daily Die so I can see

The promises He made to me

Of glory and of ecstasy,

Is NOTHING in comparison to Jesus,

God's beloved Son,

Who in the Garden gave His will

As drops of Blood from sweaty brow,

And to this God I humbly bow,

Forever to be Saved!

When God revealed to me the understanding of the Old and New Covenant in Hebrews, (Scriptures confirming below) I did not think a poem would be the way the Holy Spirit would clarify it all. Here it is for you to understand also.

When I was young, I became a “blood brother” to my friend Nancy and somehow it really moved me. German Theologian Adolf Wuttke said, “There is no love without sacrifice.”

I believe we become blood  brothers with Jesus when we have “crucified the flesh with all it’s passions and desires.”  It hurts. And bleeding emotionally is often more agonizing than visible blood. Therefore, I see the love sacrifice Jesus made in the garden as the first Blood shed when He said, against His will, “THY WILL BE DONE” on His knees for you and me.

Heb. 12:24

"To Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel".

1 Cor. 15:31

"In Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily." Paul

Heb. 9:17
"
For a covenant is valid only when men are dead,     for it is never in force while the one who made it lives."

Heb. 7:18

"There is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness..."

Luke 22:44 “And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.”

 THE SIN OF OMISSION

   James 4:17

There's a sin of OMISSION,

A sin without name,

A sin that will speak of

The cowardly way,

And those who were lazy,

And those who sat by

With a gavel of judgment for those who did try

To help out the orphan who passes their way,

Or speak against others who lead men astray.

And maybe their service was clumsy or flawed,

But "LOVE NEVER FAILS",

Therefore, God will reward.

So do not be fooled by the things you OMIT,

For they're just as sinful as sins you COMMIT.

Heb. 7:22,8:6   " Jesus has become the

guarantee of a better covenant

enacted on better promises."

Matt. 26:39  "And He went a little beyond them, and fellon His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is

possible, let this cup pass from Me;

yet not as I will, but as Thou wilt."

Hebrews 8:10-12

"FOR "THIS IS THE

 COVENANT THAT  I

 WILL MAKE WITH

THE HOUSE OF

ISRAEL AFTER THOSE

DAYS, SAYS THE

LORD: I WILL PUT MY

 LAWS INTO THEIR

 MINDS, AND I WILL

 WRITE THEM UPON

THEIR HEARTS. AND I

 WILL BE THEIR GOD,

AND THEY SHALL BE

MY PEOPLE…

ALL SHALL KNOW ME,

 FROM THE LEAST

TO THE GREATEST

OF THEM.

 " FOR I WILL BE

 MERCIFUL TO THEIR

 INIQUITIES, AND I

 WILL REMEMBER

 THEIR SINS

NO MORE."

Heb. 10:8-10

"SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND

WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND

sacrifices FOR SIN

THOU HAST NOT DESIRED... (Offered

according to the

Law), then He said,   "BEHOLD, I HAVE

COME TO DO THY WILL." He takes

away the first in

order to establish

the second.
 By this will we

have been

sanctified through

the offering of the

body of Jesus Christ

once for all."

Matt. 7:21

"Not everyone who says

to Me, 'Lord, Lord,'

will enter the

kingdom of heaven;

but he who does the

will of My Father

who is in heaven."

Gal. 5:24  “Now to those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
